anything you can fit into a sainsbury's bag, and I'm not advocating you do this to dogs, but it's more of a size thing I'm illistrating, should be considered a rat! Little scrappy dogs, chwawa's, etc should not be called dogs at all. Now I'm not against small breeds, but some of 'em, oh god! and you seen the tempers on some of the little dogs? aoooh. awful!

I like cats better, but I really really love Jack Russell terriers, they're sooooo cute!

Yeah, but I guess the little dogs would have to have more of an attitude than the bigger ones. Not saying I'd let mine get away with biting me or people I know, but they have to protect themselves somehow. *smiles* But yeah, I agree, some can have a temper on them. My cousin has a grown miniture chihuahua (not those really tiny ones but small still), and she has even snapped at my cousin when she got on the bed and my cousin tried to move her or moved her by accident. She's a spoiled and feisty little thing.

what really makes me laugh is when the tiny dogs get all big and hard in their atitude and try and take on a large dog. the large dog wins paws down in most cases.

*smiles* Yeah, that is kind of funny. We have an old chihuahua, whose as big as a regular toy dog, and she chases this bigger dog that comes around sometimes. She also gets a big kick out of running up to the fences of our neighbors' homes and teasing the big dogs. They go crazy and start barking. *laughs* But I hope they never think of climbing the fences if they are annoyed by it. but I think Chiquita )our chihuahua) knows they can't so that's why she teases them about it. I do have to say that she is a very good dog for not staying in our yard like she's supposed to. My dad calls her the neighborhood watchdog, because she will bark at and chase after anyone she doesn't know who comes on our street. She's even alerted my aunt who lives a few houses down from us when there was a guy trying to sneak into the yard. So although they're not one of my favorite kinds of dogs fore their attitudes at times, most little dogs I know were/are pretty good watchdogs. *smiles*

don't dogs who bite their owners need by law to be put to sleep? isn't that the rule these days?

Hahahaa goblin, I'de like to se you doit. Yeah, if the biet brakes the skin.

Post 13 by sugarbaby (The voice of reason) on Tuesday, 21-Jun-2005 12:16:46

ah but I guess that's all about proof isn't it. if the owner doesn't say that the dog bit him, no one will ever know. personally I wouldn't keep a dog that bit me or anyone else because I wouldn't trust it. and you couldn't pass an animal like that on to anyone so it'd have to be put to sleep.

Dogs are better then cats by far. Little dogs like poodles and Chihuahuas are rats, or maybe drats, combo of a dog and a rat. I like the big dogs, not the tall as human dogs. I've got a mutt, mostly german shepherd, but so many breads I have no idea. I plan on getting a golden retriever and a husky.

If the injured party can prove without doubt that the dog was responsible, and the owner did not take evasive action, to prevent an attack, then the owner can be prosecuted under the dangerous dogs act and the dog destroyed or forced to wear a muzzle in public..Tiddles has so far escaped but 1 day I may fire the wee rotter into the clyde!..muhahahaha...

Well it depends on hwat kind of dogs, doesn't it? Dogs in general are cute indeed, but you can not say this about all dogs.

My family's always had dogs but I never used to like them. They were big, unpredictable, jumped up at you whenever they got the chance and were altogether a nono with me. However, another Zone user, my best friend Sheelob's family got a Colly Cross four years ago and a miniature Yorky nearly two years ago and I think they're both fantastic. They just love people and the Colly Cross leans in to you if he decides he likes you and even smiles, while the Yorky's just so funny. She now wears a bell round her neck so me or any of Sheelob's friends knows where she is so we don't go squashing her under foot as she's so tiny. When I leave home and have a stable income and a job and everything, I think I'm getting a miniature Yorky and naming him Harry after Harry Potter and a bits-a like the Colly Cross and calling him Sirius, the Dog star and also after Sirius Black in Harry Potter of which i'm a huge fan.

Hi! we have 2 chihuahuas and they are pretty good tempered actually. Buddy is my friend Maria's dog and if anyone tries to harm her he would take a piece out of them for sure. Both the Chihuahuas love the car, we usually take them if we are going driving anywhere. We also have 3 bigger dogs but they would still be classified as small dogs, yes I know that doesn't make much sense, 1 is a maltese terrier, 1 is a pommeranian crossed with I don't know what, and the other is the offspring of those 2, He is my puppy and he's very cute! he's called scratch, because he does.

rishie their all chihuahua mixes accept buddy and speedy their total chi. they are very loyal and once Joe (hubby) and I were in the water up to about our necks and buddy wanted us that badly he nearly drowned. Now that's loyalty for you. I would love a guide dog but will always have a chi around the house I think. buddy will bark but he's all love once he gets to know you.

Hi!

yes they are very cute and loyal and they let us know when someone is around. They're also very affectionate, I only have to walk outsideto have speedy and scratch trying to get my attention and Kirrah and Darky barking at me to come over to them.

Yeah love big dogs and little dogs too. When I get a job and have more money, I want to get another dog to have as a pet and so my guide dog can have a friend to run around with.
